Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role: Are you an HNC, HND, or Degree holder in Electrical Engineering looking to step into Electrical Design? This opportunity is for you!

Our client is actively designing a variety of PLC, Robotic, and Factory Automation projects across multiple industries. Following substantial growth since 2020, they are now looking to recruit and develop an Electrical Design Engineer.

Role Overview: 

You’ll start by working with very experienced Electrical Design Engineers who design all of the electrical hardware for a project—from electrical installations, cabling designs, PLC systems and electrical control panels, MCC’s.

You will be trained in the CAD systems they use, and you assist with parts of the project – drawing control panel general arrangements, wiring schematics. Gradually you’ll do more- sizing motors, drives, power and voltage drop calculations, getting more involved as your skills grow.

Key Requirements:

  • HNC, HND, or Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Any CAD experience (training provided on EPlan, AutoCAD Electrical, etc.)
  • Eligibility to work permanently in the UK without future visa sponsorship
