Description

Electrical Controls Design Engineer 

Role Overview:

  • Electrical Hardware Design (70%): Focus on designing electrical systems for factory automation projects. This includes creating general arrangements, control panel designs, wiring schematics, safety circuitry, and specifying drives, motors, and controllers for machinery and conveyors.
  • PLC Programming (30%): Opportunity to enhance PLC programming skills, particularly with SIEMENS S7 PLC TIA PORTAL. Assist Controls Engineers on smaller projects, gradually rebuilding these skills.

Key Requirements:

  • Electrical Design Experience: Proficiency in E-Plan is ideal, but experience with other tools like AutoCAD Electrical, SEE, or Promis-E is also valuable.
  • Hybrid Working: Work from home 3 days a week and from the office 2 days a week. Ideal home locations include Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire, Coventry, and Birmingham.
