Description

An extra PLC Systems Engineer because of increased orders and plans to grow the company across the next 5 years. Working on PLC Automated Conveyor and Materials Handling Systems projects, this role involves:

  • PLC Control Software Programming: Design, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Site-Based Commissioning: installation of PLC HMI controls and electrical aspects of automation projects.

Benefits:

  • Salary up to £51,000
  • PLUS Paid overtime
  • 33 days holiday

Responsibilities:

  • 25% Office-Based: PLC programming and system design in Northamptonshire.
  • 75% Field-Based: Commissioning systems at customer sites, working with small teams to ensure correct installation, software modifications, and customer training. Mostly UK site projects.

Skills Needed:

  • Electrical and PLC software expertise (Siemens, Allen Bradley, ANY)
  • On-site work capability
  • Knowledge of machinery and automation
  • Experience in warehouse automation, conveyors, packaging, or similar fields is a plus

Location: Ideal candidates are based near Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Leicester, Market Harborough, or Peterborough.
