Mechanical Design Engineer

Before Covid this machinery company was busy, very busy. Since January 2021, the business has bounced back beyond those levels. You could say it's busy, busy, and then some. There's a large order book of machines to be designed and developed, and so we need to find 2 Mechanical Design Engineers to join the team to design, develop the machines, take them through CAD and make them come alive.

It will require experienced Mechanical Engineers, Design Engineers able to size and select moving parts for machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, design subassemblies for one-off materials handling and conveying systems, with experience of a 3D CAD systems (could be Solidworks, Autocad Inventor, any), turning a customers idea into a fast, automated machine for the workshop to build.

The current team ranges from recent Graduate Mechanical Engineers developing their skills through to experienced Engineers with backgrounds in packaging machinery, machine tools, warehouse automation and conveyors, robotic test and assembly cells, special purpose machinery design and build. It's a friendly team of Engineers, who handle their own projects from start to finish- the way of working is "don't rush- get it right first time."
