My customers work in the Food and Beverage Engineering field, producing electrical, mechanical, industrial control and process systems. They're winning new work in several key customers. As a Project Engineer, it will be your job to bring these from the initial site survey, through design, to commissioning and hand over.
What does it involve? It's probably a great role for someone who is an Electrical Engineer, understands Control Panels, how they're built and wired, or an Engineer who understands P+ID's and delivering process machinery into the food, beverage and manufacturing industries. You'll use that knowledge to help you to understand the scope of a project, go to a UK only customer site to survey it, gather information, talk to the customer, then go back to the office to brief the Design Engineers who will engineer the project, the workshop team who will build it, and organise the project's timeline, manage its costs and any snags right up to its handover.
